Beth Gates, age 91 of Irving, died July 25, 2014, one day short of her 92nd birthday. She was born to Charles Rozell and Mary Roberts on July 26, 1922 in Dallas, Texas. Beth is preceded in death by her husband Edwin Gates; 5 brothers; son John Michael Gates; daughter Marilyn Gates and grandson Michael Gates. She will be dearly missed by her son Rick Gates; grandchildren Chelle Trantham, Lance Wells, Tiffany Fritz, Ericka Brent, Sam Gates, William Gates, and Maegan Gates; 24 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brother Norman Rozell and wife melody; sisters Elaine Williams, Dorothy Schmidt, and Marjie Rozell along with many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 2-4 PM at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 AM at the funeral home with Todd Peavy officiating. Interment immediately following service at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
