Obituary for A.R Taylor Jr.

A.R  Taylor Jr.
A.R. Taylor, Jr. of Irving passed away August 2, 2014. He was second generation of the Castor family born on June 11, 1932 in Dallas, Texas to Albert R. Taylor Sr. and Ruby Caster Taylor, who were one of the pioneer families of Irving. Albert was a member of The American Quarter Horse Association he breed quarter horses and showed them across the South West. He was a US Army Veteran, a graduate of Abilene Christian College and worked as a military salesman for Proctor and Gamble for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include sister Barbara Taylor-Qualls and husband Richard of Longmont, Colorado; nephews Mark Qualls of Longmont, Colorado and Matthew Qualls of Tampa, Florida; nieces Shannon Nelson of Tampa, Florida and Erin Krek of Dallas; and many other loving family members. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday August 6 at the funeral home. Funeral service to be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday August 7, 2014 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Grady King officiating with interment following at Haley Cemetery in Irving.
