Shirley Engel, age 78 of Irving, died on September 1, 2014. She was born on October 28, 1935 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Walter Fred Bundy and Bessie Velma Schultz Bundy. Shirley worked as an apartment manager and volunteered for the Irving Police Department. She is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband and granddaughter Kelly and will be greatly missed by her daughters Pam Adams and husband of Forney and Catherine Wehland and husband of Allen; her son Jeffery Engel of Irving; sisters Cloma Martin of Roseburg, Oregon and Mary Lou Myers of Lake Havasu, Arizona; brother Ken Bundy of Roseburg, Oregon along with five special grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home in Irving from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. A graveside funeral service will be held at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 4, 2014 with Reverend Keith Mahoney officiating.
