Obituary for Iva Doris Williams (Brewster)

Iva Doris Williams, 81, formerly of Irving, Texas passed away at home on September 2, 2014 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. Iva was born in Blanket, Texas on May 28, 1933 to Dove and Forest Brewster. She was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling and fishing with her husband, crafts, family gatherings and attending her high school reunions. Iva was a long-time member of Westside Church of Christ in Irving. Iva is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, James (Jim) Williams; daughters, Paula Graff; Patti Bonlie and husband Wayne; Cathy Rose and husband Bill; son, James (Jamie) Williams and fiance, Candace (Candy) McKenzie; three grandchildren, Daniel Clarkston and wife, Jennifer; Luke Bonlie and wife Helen and Charlene Mendiola and husband Kerry; seven great-grandchildren, Elizabeth; Theresa; Kasen; Graham; Kaleb; Cheyenne and Zander; sisters, Ann Gerdes and husband Dennis; Sammie Moore and husband Paul; her sister-in-law, Barbara Brewster; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Iva was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pauline Patronelli; brother, Ray Brewster; and nephew Alan Brewster. Funeral service to be held at 10:00 am Friday September 5, 2014 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Irving with private family interment at Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
