Brenda Laster House, age 62 and longtime Irving resident, died on September 13, 2014. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on April 2, 1952 to James Paul Harrison and Helen Melissa Mason Harrison. Brenda owned and operated Brenda’s Day Care of Irving for 25 years and then started B & M Special Touch Cleaning Services in Arlington, Texas. Later on, Brenda pursued becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked in both Arlington, Texas and Magnolia, Arkansas. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Clarence House and her brother James Harold Harrison. She will be greatly missed by her son Shanon Laster and his wife Janet of Irving; daughter Brenda Laster Price of Irving; son John Laster and his wife Tanya also of Irving; nine special grandchildren; sisters Sandra McCoy and her husband David of Chandler, Barbara Johnson and her husband Cotton of Kemp; Gloria Hicks of Grapevine, Kay Ybarra of Chandler and Becky Saunders and husband Ray of Magnolia, Arkansas; brothers Jerry Harrison and wife Debbie of Kemp, Lee Harrison and his wife Sheila of Chandler; Johnny Laster along with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Noon on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Irving with Pastor Charles Thornton officiating. Interment following the service at 2:00 PM at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
