Alma “Bonita” House, age 76 of Irving, formerly or Metropolis, Illinois died on September 12, 2014. She was born to Glen Ross Broadway and Mary Burklow Broadway in Brownfield, Illinois on June 11, 1938. Bonita worked for the Irving Independent School district for 27 years until she retired in 2004 and then went to work in the church office at Oak View Baptist Church. She loved baseball and volunteering at the church. Bonita is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Billy G. House, precious son Richard Anthony House and her brother Dale Broadway. She will be greatly missed by her sons Carl House of Irving and Bobby House and his wife Tammy of Forney; grandchildren Aaron and Reagan House also of Forney; sister Pat Thomas of Hillsboro, IL and sister-in-law Jan Broadway of Metropolis, IL. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Oak View Baptist Church in Irving. The family will receive friends at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and requests memorial donations to the “Stepping Into The Future Fund” at Oak View Baptist Church 1004 S.
