Idaliah J. Turney, 90, of Irving died October 18th. Memorial celebration to be held at 6:00 PM on October 22nd at Village Baptist Church in Irving. Arrangements made by Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Turney was born on July 29, 1924 in Jefferson, TX. She was a member of Village Baptist Church and helped start religious services at Brookdale Retirement Center. She retired from teaching at Apple Valley Day School where she was known as “Ms. Lovey”. Survivors include her daughter Jaynell Tarvin of Irving; grandchildren Jeri-Dawn, Terry Jr., Darlyng, Tammi, John David, Kagan, Parker and eight great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Village Baptist Church Building Fund. It’s a cause that was very dear to Idaliah’s heart, and she set aside funds for it every Sunday. We’d like to carry her legacy a little further with it.
