Obituary for Jon Hunt
Jon Hunt, age 59 and longtime Irving resident, died suddenly on November 18, 2014. He was born on May 24, 1955 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Robert Eugene Hunt, Sr. and Juranne Peterson Hunt. Jon worked as building engineer until his retirement and was a member and deacon at the Westside church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents and will be forever missed by his beloved wife Regina Hunt; daughter Melanie Simmons and her husband Rich of Bedford; son Phillip M. Hunt and wife Meghan of Irving; grandchildren Taylor, Lucas and Titus Hunt; brothers Robert Hunt and wife A’Ree of Arlington and David Hunt of Sherwood Shores; sisters Jeanne Snead of Lone Oaks, Jo Ann Long of Lewisville and Linda Portinga and husband Tracy of Wylie. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Irving with interment immediately following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
