Ernest Leo  Hickman Jr.
Ernest Leo Hickman, Jr., age 53, of Irving, died on January 10, 2015 from ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. He was born on January 28, 1961 in McKinney, TX to Ernest Leo Hickman, Sr. and Mable Roberta Hudson Hickman. Ernest was a graduate of Nimitz High School. He worked many years as a copier technician for Xerox, store manager for RadioShack, customer service in reservations for American Airlines, and in later years as a Security Officer for Special Events. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling and disc golf, serving as the President of the Irving Disc Golf Association for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Leo Hickman, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Roberta Hickman of Irving; sister, Connie Valenciano of Irving; nephews Billy Hickman and wife Robin of Irving, and Marc Valenciano of Fort Worth; niece, Jennifer Hickman of Arvada, CO; great-nephew Austen of Arvada, CO; great-niece Hannah of Irving; an uncle, and several aunts and cousins. Memorial service will be held at Plymouth Park Baptist Church on January 26, 2015 at 10:30 am. The family requests any memorial donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
