Alvin Pope was born on July 24th, 1945 in Tucson, Arizona and passed away on February 10th, 2015 in Irving at Baylor Medical Center. Alvin is survived by his wife Wanda; children Amy Foster of Fort Worth; Billy Pope of Irving; Michael Pope of Irving; Jimmy Vineyard of Howe; Kathy Edmondson and Karla Sprowl of Van Alstyne; his mother Nita Vineyard of Van Alstyne; grandchildren Tyler and Jared Robison; Kristyn and Kailynn Killam; Tristen Pope; Riley and Sydney Sprowl; Faith Griffin; Krista Owens; Khloe, Caden and Tori Vineyard; his siblings Wayne Pope; Darlene Haake; David Pope and Rodney Pope along with numerous nephews and nieces. He was blessed to have had such a large family. He is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Janie Pope, and one brother Paul Pope. Alvin’s greatest dream was to have souls saved and come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. He had not been able to attend church in a very long time for health reasons, but he watched "church" faithfully on TV.
