Patricia Bridget Downey of Irving passed away February 24, 2015. She was born on August 24, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio to Thomas and Mary Kilcoyne. Pat was a resident of Irving for 35 years and a longtime member of Irving Bible Church where she managed the kitchen ministry with her husband Bob. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She was the perfect help mate. She is preceded in death by her parents and son Dale Downey. She is survived by her husband Robert Downey of Irving; Son Randy Downey and wife Janet of Redding, California; daughter Maureen Thompson and husband Ron of Holts Summit, Missouri; son Robert L. Downey and wife Janice of Argyle, Texas; son Matt Downey and wife Christy of Arlington, Texas; daughter-in-law Carol Miettinen of Ft. Jones, California; grandchildren, Aaron Downey, David Downey, Trevor Downey and Jesse Downey; Ryan Thompson and Sean Thompson; Peyton Downey, Jonathan Downey and Olivia Downey; 13 great-grandchildren; brother Thomas Kilcoyne of San Diego, California; sister Loretta Miner of Decatur, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to Noon on Saturday February 28, 2015 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday February 28, 2015 at Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless officiated by Dr. E. Andrew McQuitty. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Irving Bible Church 2435 Kinwest Parkway, Irving, Texas 75063. A reception will follow the memorial at the church.
