June H. Hogue, age 81 of San Antonio, formerly of Irving, died on May 10, 2015. She was born to Jack Jean Harper and Addie Mae Whitaker Harper in Knox City, Texas on December 26, 1933. June earned her degree in business from Texas Tech University and then a Master’s Degree from Texas Women’s University in Denton. She was devoted to her career in public education, becoming one of the first Educational Diagnosticians in Texas and was listed in the Who’s Who of America in Early Education Development. She worked for the Irving Independent School District from 1966 until her retirement in 1995. June is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Royce in 2011, and her brother Charles Harper. She will also be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister to those left to cherish her memory and continue her legacy which are her sons Rex Hogue and his wife Dottie of Little Elm, TX; Jon Hogue and wife Carmen of San Antonio; grandchildren David, Laura and Stephen Hogue; Sarah Chiccoine and husband Ryan; Joshua Hogue; great grandchildren Emma, Aleczander and Ryder Chiccoine; brothers Freddie Harper and wife Helen of Red Oak and Jimmy Harper and wife Charlotte of North Little Rock along with her sister-in-law Beverly Adams and numerous friends. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, May 15, 2015 in Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel followed by a private interment at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
