Obituary for James Timothy-Takashi Paullin

James Timothy-Takashi Paullin
On the evening of May 11, 2015, James passed away at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX as a result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident earlier that day. James was 21 years old.
James Timothy-Takashi Paullin was born March 29, 1994 in Charleston, WV. He was the second child, and the first son, of Megumi Taira and Timothy Paullin.
James and his sister Miki were military kids; their father was a U.S. Marine and they travelled from the West Coast to the East Coast and even Okinawa, Japan where his mother is from. They settled in Irving Texas in 2000 where James went to school at Holy Family Catholic School until the 8th grade. He graduated from North Hills Preparatory School in Irving, TX. He was enrolled at the University of North Texas, Denton, TX majoring in engineering.
James' goal was to be an automotive engineer. His passion was working on his car and riding his motorcycle with friends. He wanted to design cars for the future. This was his dream. He enjoyed playing PlayStation, listening to music and going to the movies. His favorite series was the Fast & Furious. James was also a talented artist; he loved to draw Anime (Japanese Cartoons). He was a thoughtful young man who loved everyone and treated everybody the same; no matter who they were.
James loved his Japanese heritage and could speak both English and Japanese. He visited his mother and sister and his relatives in Okinawa, Japan every summer. He played Yugio with his little brother Samson when he visited his Father. His parents divorced in 2007, but James didn't let that change his love for both his parents and siblings. While attending college and working James always made time to visit both his parents and spend time with them.
James is survived by his Mother Megumi (Taira) Paullin of Okinawa, Japan, his Father Timothy and Helen Paullin of Irving, Texas, his sister Miki Paullin of Okinawa, Japan, younger brother, Samson Paullin of Irving, Texas, his grandmother, Yasuko Taira, of Okinawa, Japan, grandmother Patricia Paullin of Spokane Valley, Washington and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
