Max Herman Ralstin was born January 8, 1943 in Guymon, Oklahoma. He passed away June 2, 2015 in Irving, Texas. He graduated from Guymon High School in 1961 and attended Panhandle State in Goodwill, Oklahoma. He earned his first class radio license from Elkins Broadcasting School. Afterwards, he worked as a radio DJ in Clinton, Oklahoma and later in Amarillo, Texas at KVII. He also worked as a regional promotion manager for Mercury Records covering Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas. In 1973 he married Marilyn Chambers in Nacogdoches, Texas. He worked many years in sales and owned a moving and storage company. They were long time residents of Irving where they raised their two children and were members of South MacArthur Church of Christ. He was an avid sports fan, especially football. The mountains in Colorado and Red River, New Mexico were places he loved to visit. He had a great appreciation of music, enjoyed singing and had a beautiful baritone voice. He was blessed by five grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Jewell Ralstin and brother, Gary Ralstin. He is survived by wife of 41 years, Marilyn; his sisters, Margaret Phillips, and husband Glen; Loretta Barnes and husband Jim of Guymon, Oklahoma; son, Dan Ralstin and wife Amy and their children Riley and Rhett of Fairfield Texas; daughter, Amy Janecek and husband Jon and their children Luchier, Luke, and Calvin of Keller, Texas. He was devoted to his family and found great joy in his grandchildren. Burial will be in Nacogdoches on June 5. A Memorial service will be at Christ Church in Irving on June 6 at 2:00. Gifts in his honor may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, St. Jude Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice.
