Obituary for Blake Venson Casbeer

Blake Venson Casbeer
Blake Venson Casbeer went to his heavenly home on June 9, 2015 at 9:25am. He was 14. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Blake had touched in some small way, throughout his short, but memorable life.
Blake’s life would seem short to many. But those who were touched by him understand that the quality of time spent with him far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His radiant smile could light up a room and was a blessing to all who knew him.
Blake exhibited many strengths and qualities, to include: patience, kindness, gentleness, and generosity. He showed all of us how to be a better person and to love people. He was a beloved son to his family, and an amazing friend to everyone he met.
Blake could spend hours on the computer enriching his knowledge and wisdom of anything and everything he could find. He enjoyed music, sleeping late, Dr. Who, and spending time with his dog Gracie. As a child, he attended Townley Elementary. He was an exceptional student and current graduate of De Zavala Middle School in Irving. In the fall of 2015, he was scheduled to attend Nimitz High School, the Alma Mater of his parents. He would have been a freshman and a member of the Viking Marching Band. He loved spending time outdoors, where he would fish, explore the woods, or go on alligator hunts. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
With Blake’s passing, we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, especially his winning smile, he will remain in our hearts forever.
Blake is survived by his loving parents, Tim and Crystal Casbeer of Irving; brother, Clinton Casbeer, sister-in-law Yasmin Casbeer, nephew Dayton Casbeer of Irving; maternal grandparents Bob and Mary Lanier (nanny and peepaw) of Irving; paternal grandparents Bennie and Carol Bell (papa and mema), also of Irving, his best friend Luis Trevino of Irving, and hundreds and hundreds of Friends.
Blake was welcomed at the gates of heaven by his Grandfather Robert Vinson Casbeer, his Great Grandmother Natalie Nichols, and his cousin Justin Wayne Lanier.
The family will receive friends from 5:30pm to 8pm Monday June 15, at Browns Memorial Funeral Home 707 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving TX. 75061. Funeral services will begin at 10am Tuesday, June 16, at Browns Memorial Funeral Home, followed by the burial service at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, in the Garden of Peace, located at 1413 E. Irving Blvd., Irving TX. 75060
