Major Melvin Laburn Deal of Irving passed away June 22, 2015 in Irving. Melvin was born on July 19, 1927 in Phoenix, Arizona to Milton and Lynn Deal. He served his country in the US Air force as a pilot and later worked as an Insurance Agent. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Wanda Deal; grandchild Norman Dunklee. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Janet and Tom McCommons; Jill and Rama Sweet; Sharon and Randy Barber; Glenn & Linda Deal; Gwen & Gary Hardwick; Judy & Don Hillin: Brenda & Mike Sperry; Danny & Rita Deal; his grandchildren & their spouses Kodi and Curtis Stromme; Michelle and Jason Jordon; Heather Sweet; Franklin and Loren Barber; Cory Barber; Patrick & Melinda Deal; Jennifer & Danny Moreno; Chris & Jennifer Hardwick; Carrie & Myke Reinhold; Michille & Sean Kigo; Nicole & Mike Mutchler and James Zimmerman; great-grandchildren Tyler Velasquez; Seth Inocenio; Dameon Inocencio; Kason Jordon; Tilly Mae Barber; C. J. Stromme and Mason Jordan; Edin, Embrie, Alyssia, Ryan, Andrew, Coreen, Nole, Jeremy, Kalynn, Hope, Taylor, Brayden, Isaiah, Phoebe, Kyle, Cory, Caleb, Katie, Mathew. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday June 28, 2015 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
