Joe Taylor age 80, died Saturday July 18, 2015. He was born in Farmersville, Texas on July 4, 1935 to William and Myrtle Taylor. Joe Taylor was a man of many hats, who leaves behind a legacy. He was a devoted christian, husband, dad, pepa, brother, uncle, friend, coach, mentor, businessman, jokester, hero, gardener, printer, poet and teacher. Joe was a resident of Irving for 51 years, and enjoyed coaching for over 40 years, ranging from the IGSL, being on the board and coaching his granddaughter for fourteen years; serving on the board of Irving All Sports; girls basketball; his son and grandson’s baseball team. As well as co-founding, The Softball for the Physically Challenged Children, now known as the Miracle League. He had worked in printing his whole life, starting at Mobile Oil-Print Division, then City Printing, Jarvis Press and Millet the Printer. In 1976 Joe became the owner and operator of Berlin Printing for thirty nine years. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Debra Sue, grandson Johnny, two brothers and four sisters. Left to carry on his memory is his loving wife of fifty three years Frances Taylor; son Jeff; daughter and husband Vicki & Sonny; daughter and husband Linda & Casey; brother and wife Glen & Martha Taylor; five grandchildren Michael and wife Elizabeth, Cassie and husband Joe, Jefferson, Blake and wife Mindy, and Jaye; ten great grandchildren, Michael, Joe, Layla, Johnny, Lexi, Gavin, Jacob, Brody, Alex and Riley; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. The family will receive friends at Browns memorial funeral home on Wednesday July 22, 2015, from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm. A funeral will be held 11:00 am, Thursday July 23, 2015 at the Oak View Baptist Church, 1004 S Story Rd. Irving TX, 75060, where he was a member for 49 years. Joe, also known as Pepa, will live on forever in the heart of everyone he encountered. 1,000,000,000 words aren’t enough to describe his legacy, but 4 stand out: “No problem only solutions.”
