Obituary for Jack Leroy Herron

Jack Leroy Herron, Witchita Kansas resident for over 60 years, died on August 17, 2015. He was born to Everett Scott Herron and Grace McDougal Herron in Pindall, Arkansas. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army as both a medic and chef during World War II. He also successfully owned and operated Pattie TV & Appliance for 45 years until his retirement in 2007. Jack maintained membership in Shriners International and was also a 32nd Degree Master Mason. He is preceded in death by his parents, his five brothers Earl, Ernest, Will, Melburn and Joe Herron and his three sisters Lennie, Patsy and Marie. Left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy are his beloved wife Ramona (Fletcher) Herron; sons Terry L. Herron and Tracy A. Herron; daughter Rhonda R. Herron and step-son Rick Matthew; brother Troy Herron and sister Florence Strickland; grandsons Austin, Jason and John along with great-grandchildren Cylee and Brooke. A graveside committal service with military honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
