Obituary for Addie Kay Brown (Kennedy)

Addie (Kay) Brown, 59, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with our heavenly father Thursday, Aug. 19th. Viewing will be Monday, Aug. 24th from 11-1pm at Brown’s Funeral Home in Irving, TX. A graveside service will follow at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery in Fort Worth at 1:30 pm. Please join us for a memorial celebrating her life, immediately following the graveside service, TBA. Kay was born to Billie and Bettye Kennedy. Kay grew up in the HEB area, one of 8 kids, graduating from L.D. Bell High school. She was happily married to her husband, Floyd for 30 years. They have 4 children altogether, 9 grandchildren, with one on the way. She enjoyed being with her family, spending time with her grandchildren, playing bingo and appreciated reality television. She was preceded in death by her parents, Billie and Bettye Kennedy, brothers; Clyde Kennedy and Don Kennedy, twin sisters; Janice and Denise Kennedy. Survivors include her husband, Floyd Brown; children, Cory Kennedy and wife Alicia; Micheal Brown and girlfriend Emily; Heather Curtis and husband Delvin; stepdaughter, Deja Rose and husband Adam. She has 9 beautiful grandchildren: Brent, Kyle, Sean, Hunter, Justin, Eli, Tucker, Briley and Peyton. Surviving siblings include sisters; Dianne Hanson and husband Bob; Lori Wilkerson and husband Steve; one brother, Kevin Kennedy and wife Becky, along with numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
