Laurel June Campbell, age 72, went to be with her heavenly father Sunday, September 27, 2015. She was born in Dallas, Texas to Newell Bryant Neece and Helen Katherine Campbell on October 17, 1942. Laurel was a lifelong resident of Irving, a dedicated member and singer of Western Heritage Church, in Irving, and always a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her daughter Katherine R. Spears Campbell, 7 years ago in 2008; left to love cherish and carry on her memory is her husband Charles Campbell of Irving; sons Ron Campbell and Chuck Campbell II both of Irving; brother Art Neece of Aubrey; sisters Alice Starnes of Irving and Patsy Reynolds of Tulsa, OK; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm Friday October 2, 2015 at Brown’s Memorial. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am Saturday October 3, 2015, at the Western Heritage Church in Irving, with an internment following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
