Obituary for Dan Fread
Dan Fread, born in Purdon, Texas to Lewis Don Fread and Alberta (Robbins) Fread on January 17, 1919, died on October 4, 2015 at the age of 96. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant in the 23rd Fighter Group. He was a longtime Irving resident who was supportive of churches, enjoyed reading his Bible and sharing the word with others. Dan earned his living as a pipefitter for Alcoa until his retirement. A graveside committal service with military honors will be held at 10:15 am on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
