Obituary for Valdene Ann Walker
Miss Valdene A. Walker, 64 of Grand Prairie, TX, died Wednesday afternoon November 4th, 2015 in Northgate Plaza Nursing Home in Irving, TX. Valdene Ann Walker was born November 5th, 1950, in Illinois, to Donald and F. Darlene (DeKeyper) Walker. She earned her Masters degree in Gifted and Talented education from the University of Connecticut. She taught elementary school in Freeport, IL, Seoul South Korea, Worms, Germany and in Irving, TX. Surviving are her brother Randy Walker and his wife Tammy of Everett, WA; nephew Brian Doyle and his wife Casey; niece Bridget Doyle; nephew Daniel Lewis; niece Rebecca (Walker) Hight and her husband Ross C. II.; great-niece Alayna Doyle; and great-nephew Liam Doyle. Preceding her in death were both parents, mother F. Darlene on December 30, 1990, father Donald on August 17, 2011 and sister Teresa Doyle on September 18, 1995. In lieu of flowers, gifts in the name of Valdene may be made to Alpha Delta Kappa Foundation at 1615 W 92nd St. Kansas City, MO 64114. A Catholic funeral service will be held at 6PM on Monday November 9th at St. Luke’s Parish located at 202 South MacArthur Blvd. Irving, TX.
