Pat Stone, age 78 died Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Dallas Texas to Samuel Stone and Florene Altha (Holloman) Stone on April 15, 1937. Pat was a lifelong resident of Irving, loved woodworking and lifelong finish carpenter, was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed raising chickens, canning fruits to make jelly and spending time with his dogs Chipper and Tootie. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Joann, son Chris Stone, and brothers C.J and Johnny B. Stone. Left to cherish his memory loving wife of 15 years, Linda Walker; children Gene Canney of Alba, Texas, Bill Canney of Omaha, Nebraska, Troy Stone of Palm Harbour, Florida, Paula Baxter of Pittsburg, Texas, Ricky Stone of Alba, Texas, Sharon Stone of Carrollton, Eddie Canney of Alba, Texas, Melinda Wurtz of Nacogdoches; brother Mike Stone of Helena, Oklahoma; sister Lee Otis of Enid Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Pats life will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home.
