Obituary for Guy "Spot" Shockley

Guy "Spot"  Shockley
Guy “Spot” Shockley, resident of Irving, died in Irving on November 23, 2015 at age 90. He was born on November 28, 1924 to Jake J. and Rosa (Vaughn) Shockley. Guy proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard/Merchant Marines during World War II. He worked as an aircraft mechanic at Aviall for over thirty years until his retirement in 1985. Guy is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Clara “Ruth” Shockley, son Billy Wayne and one sister and two brothers. Left to carry on his legacy are his sons Guy Ray Shockley and wife Sherry of Sulphur Springs and David Edward Shockley and his wife Linda of Wills Point. He is also survived by his brother Wayne “Buck” Shockley and his wife Susan of Greenville. A graveside funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Noon on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. The family will receive friends at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM just prior to the service.
