Darlene Joyce Glennon, longtime Irving resident, died in Denison, Texas on January 11, 2016 at the age of 73. Her life began in Albertville, Minnesota where she was born to Phillip and Grace (Roskowyk) Steffens on March 8, 1942. Darlene was an office manager in the vending industry and also enjoyed membership in the Ladies Auxiliary and the Irving Elks Lodge. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Dennis Glennon and eight brothers and sisters. Darlene will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister by her sons Sean Glennon and wife Annece of Grapevine and Michael Glennon and wife Lynette of Flower Mound; sister Alicia Gertken of Minnesota; grandson Seth Glennon of Grapevine and granddaughter Rylie Glennon of Flower Mound along with numerous special friends. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Irving. Interment immediately following in Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. The family will receive friends at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, January 18, 2016 with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM.
