Cecil Ray Cosper of Irving passed away January 19, 2016 in Irving. He was born on June 25, 1943 in Cooper, Texas to Howard Millard Cosper and Rose Mae Burkett Cosper. Cecil was an Irving resident for 40 years and previously of Grand Prairie. He worked as a saw operator for Reliance Metal Company and Russell Steel retiring after 40 years of service. He was an avid football fan especially for his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Charlie Cosper and sister Margie Jackson. Left behind to mourn his loss are wife of 53 years Rose Cosper of Irving; daughter Annette Cosper of Irving; daughter Toni Besaw and husband James of Irving; son Bradley Cosper and wife Teresa of Grand Prairie; son Charlie Cosper and wife Tammy of Denton; brother Tooter Cosper and wife Hazel of Grand Prairie; brother Eddie Cosper and wife Kay of Grand Prairie and brother J. L. Cosper and wife Tujana of Edgewood, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jerry Mizer. Interment will follow the funeral service at Shady Grove Cemetery in Grand Prairie.
