Obituary for Frank Sinclair Jr.

Frank Sinclair Jr., age 91, longtime Irving resident and proud lifelong Texan, died surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, February 3, 2016. He was born in Plainview, Texas on September 20, 1924 to Elbert Frank Sinclair and Emma Pearl (Dillard) Sinclair. Frank had many accomplishments throughout his long life, a proud World War II Veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Navy, and earning his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering through Texas Tech University, are just a few. His love and loyalty for Irving, and his civic mindset was seen and appreciated by many, through his actions to help improve the City of Irving. Frank was a dedicated member of First United Methodist Church in Irving, a non-resident farmer, who enjoyed bailing hay and raising his own garden wherever he lived and a known cheater in Dominoes. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Mildred Sinclair and brother Bill Sinclair. Left to carry on his legacy is son David Sinclair; daughters Barbara Bell and husband Richard, Judy Baggett and husband Terry; grandchildren Brian Finney and wife Melanie, Robert Bell, Richard Bell and wife Michelle, Stephanie Baggett Wirges, Holly Baggett Fox and husband Jeremy, Blaire Finney Reagan and husband Russell, Rachel Bell Fingeroot and husband Bryan; great grandchildren Jackson Sinclair Finney, Serenity Powell, Ryan Jade Wirges, Carson Wayne Finney, Madison Nicole Fox, Brooklyn Michelle Fox, Dylan Fingeroot, Lex Wirges, Reese Shaw Reagan and Lyla Fingeroot; sister Barbara Ann Walker; god grandchildren Kennie Cooper and Sarah Andrew along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 2:00 PM through 4:00 PM. A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, February 8, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Irving, with the interment immediately following, at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
