Virginia Bobbitt, age 75, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016. She was born February 7, 1941 in Amarillo, Texas to Theodore Roosevelt and Eleanor Janette Callaway. After having lived in Abilene the family moved to Irving in 1973, where she worked as a registered nurse until her retirement in 1998. In 1999, Virginia decided to rejoin the family business, where she became the office manager for the last 17 years at Topline Warehouse. Virginia enjoyed quilting in her spare time, and was a proud member of the Irving Quilt Guild. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, Bud L. Bobbitt; son Mark D. Bobbitt; daughters Robyn A. Salmi; daughter Jeni F. Cobb and husband Stephen; grandsons Brian B., Steven L. and Timothy M. Bobbitt; grandson Taz D. Salmi; granddaughter Lexi T. Salmi; sister Fay Wood and husband Bob; brother Joey Callaway and wife Alesia along with many nieces, nephews and other extended family. A memorial service to celebrate and honor Virginia, will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, April 21, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Grand Prairie , with Pastor Dr. Bill Skaar officiating.
