Obituary for Velma Mary LeRoy (Aunchman)

Velma Mary  LeRoy (Aunchman)
Velma Mary LeRoy, was born May 20, 1920 in Whitehall, New York to Willis Aunchman and Florence Fish Aunchman. She died April 5, 2016 lovingly surrounded by her family. A longtime resident of Irving, Texas, she was a member of the Catholic Daughters and St. Luke's Catholic Church where she volunteered in children's faith formation. Trained in piano, voice and dance, she taught children's ballet and coached youth competitive diving. Preceded in death by her husband Jesse Russell LeRoy, son, John H. LeRoy and infant daughter Luanna J. LeRoy; she is survived by children Russell J. LeRoy (Therese), Anita LeRoy Yeates, Suzanne LeRoy Mahony (Thomas), Donald A. LeRoy, Grant D. LeRoy, sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 10 am Wednesday, April 20 at St. Joseph Residence, 330 W. Pembroke Ave., Dallas, Texas. Ms. LeRoy's wish was that gifts in her memory be made to St. Joseph's Residence where she spent her final years in the loving care of the Bethlemite Sisters.
