Obituary for Alfonso "Al" Holguin Jr.
Al Holguin, longtime Irving resident, died at his Irving home surrounded by the love of his family on May 10, 2016 at the age of 67. His life began on June 6, 1948 in El Paso, Texas where he born to Alfonso and Angela (Leyva) Holguin. Al earned his Associates Degree and owned and operated Dallas Custom Irrigates and Landscapes. He was reunited in Heaven with his parents and will always be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, stepfather and grandfather by his beloved wife of 35 years Ruby Holguin; stepsons Charles Martin, JR of Cedar Hill and Steve Martin and wife Esther of Wylie; stepdaughter Traci Bush and husband Richard of Arlington; granddaughter Taylor Bush; grandsons James, Steven and Joshua Martin and Riley Bush, along with numerous much loved extended family members and countless friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bryan Eason officiating. The family requests memorial donations in Al’s honor to the DFW Humane Society at www.dfwhumane.com or 4140 Valley View Lane, Irving, TX, 75038.
