Forrest Allen  Scott Sr.
Forrest Allen Scott, Temple resident, passed away peacefully in his home on May 26, 2016 at age 87. His life began in Dallas, Texas where he was born to William Alexander and Ola Laurayne (Short) on January 25, 1929. Forrest proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Pharmacist’s Mate from June of 1946 to April 1948 at the end of World War II. He was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 30 years, retiring in a managerial position. Forrest married his first wife, Frances Trigg, and they raised three children before she passed away in 2008. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Crump Spicer Scott; son Forrest Allen Scott, Jr.; two daughters Kari and Kimberly; sister Alice Robertson and sister in law Martha Ruth Trigg. Forrest was blessed with five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 6, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Irving with Reverend Sammy Hargrove officiating. Burial immediately following at Sowers Cemetery in Irving. The family will receive friends at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 5, 2016.
