Obituary for M.L. Roten

M.L. Roten, native Texan and longtime Irving resident, died on June 9, 2016 in Grapevine at age 96. His life journey began in Itasca, Texas where he born to John Elgin and Martha Lee (Stanley) Roten on October 6, 1919. M.L. gave many years of dedicated service to Ling-Temco-Vought (LTV) and retired from there as a Superintendent. He will be remembered for the loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather he was. He was reunited in eternal rest with his parents, brothers Oid, Felix and Clarence Roten and sister, Verna Krueger. M.L. will never be forgotten and dearly missed by his beloved wife of 72 years, Helen Roten; daughter Kay Rogers and husband Marlin of Arlington; sons Ronny Roten and wife Teresa of Arlington and Bobby Roten of Irving; daughter Kim James and husband Jay of Coppell along with 10 grandchildren,10 great grandchildren and many other loving extended family members and numerous friends. A memorial service will be scheduled by M.L.’s family at a later date.
