Rosa Martinez, lifelong Irving resident, died in Irving on June 16, 2016 at the age of 69. She started life in Pharr, Texas where she was born to Margarito and Maria (Sosa) Galvan on March 25, 1947. Rosa gave many years of dedicated service as a Court Clerk to the City of Irving. She devoted much of her time to care and nurturing of her beautiful family. Rosa was reunited in Heaven with her parents and her beloved husband of 35 years, Gregorio Martinez. Left to cherish the memories of the loving, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother that she was, are her daughter Sandra Reyna and husband Charles, daughter Diana Flores, son Gregorio Martinez III, Roxanne Torres and husband Oscar and son Daniel Martinez and wife Ashley, all of Irving; grandchildren Laura, Rachel, Samantha, Rose, Jonathan, Greg IV, Faith, Joshua, Joseph and Kasen; great grandchildren Greg Anthony, Giovanni, Gabriel, Guilianna, Grace and one on the way, Olivia; brothers Margarito Galvan and Jose Luis Galvan; sister Beatrice Chavez along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving extended family members and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with interment immediately following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 20, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
