Obituary for Scott "Slim" McKnight

Scott "Slim" McKnight
G. Scott (Slim) McKnight of Irving passed away August 8, 2016 after battling a long illness. He was born on September 22, 1960 in Dallas, Texas. Left to mourn are his twin sons, James G. McKnight of Irving and Justin S. McKnight of Irving and San Marcos; parents Linda Hengy McKnight and Gaylon McKnight of Garland; sister Laura McKnight Schaefer of Lewisville; brother Kenneth McKnight of Rowlett and numerous loving cousins, very dear Grandson Isaiah of Irving; nephews and nieces in the Dallas Ft. Worth area as well as Minnesota and Michigan. He was very dedicated to his grandson and his dog taking both for walks every chance he could. He was so proud of little Isaiah. Scott attended MacArthur High School and was a lifelong electrician working for several contractors in the DFW area. Everyone who knew Scott said he was a very hard worker on whatever job he was given and knew much regarding electricity since he was trained by the best in the industry. Scott was a humble man and passionate about helping others even when he was ill. He was loved by many and has left an empty spot in our hearts. He will have a beautiful crown in Heaven for all the good he did for others with such a loving heart. We love you Scott.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Dallas SPCA at www.aspca.org.
