Earnest Everett Starnes of Irving passed away May 30, 2017. He was born on November 25, 1925 in Dallas, Texas to Ernest Eli and Ada Mae (Gossett) Starnes. Everett was an Army WWII veteran before a career with Texas Power & Light Co. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Carol Jean VanBibber, sisters Hessie Lewis, Tressie Schuler, Juanita O’Connell Toney and Winnie Neece and brother Wineford. Left to cherish his memory are wife Alice Starnes; son Ernie Starnes and wife Glenda; brother, Cliff Starnes and wife Joyce; grandchildren Trey Starnes and Tai Smith and husband Branden, 4 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Christ Church in Irving at 1750 East Airport Freeway with Greg Beauchamp officiating. Internment will immediately follow the funeral at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
