Charles Franklin Campbell, age 77, long time resident of Irving since 1966, entered the Gates of Heaven on Friday, July 7, 2017. He was born on June 21, 1940 in Dallas, Texas to Eugene U. and Mamie Marie (Hobbs) Campbell. Charles served in the United States Navy, was a member of Western Heritage Cowboy Church in Irving, and loved his Lord and Savior. He was owner of Campbell’s Thrift Store in Irving for 25 years. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kathrine R. Speers Campbell, and wife of 49 years Laurel. Left to cherish his memory is son Ronald E. Campbell and wife Reegan; son Charles F. Campbell II and wife Rebecca; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and sister Mabel Nobles. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Western Heritage Cowboy Church, 525 North Sowers Road, Irving, Pastor Nathan Kaspar Officiating; committal with Military Honors will be held at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens immediately following. A visitation will be held at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home in Irving between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, Monday, July 10, 2017.
