Condolence: Martin and I taught together in DeSoto - even carpooled a few times - before teaching together at Nimitz. Martin had a sharp wit and a passion for teaching students to love French and to love learning. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

Condolence: I taught foreign language with Martin at DeSoto High School. I had thought of him several times this summer. We always said that Martin brought us into the computer/technology age. He was one up on all of us but encouraging and patient in teaching us. He was delightfully unpredictable, always coming up with new things to engage his students. This summer when I was asked by my department chair to show everyone a new aspect of Blackboard, I thought ' my, Martin would be so surprised seeing me do this!'.
