Burrell Hampton Hambrick Sr., age 78, died at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 19, 2017. He was born in Commerce, Texas to Alton and Juanita (Carter) Hambrick on April 23, 1939. Burrell graduated from Irving High School, Class of 1957. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Roger Tomberlin, brothers Johnny Melvin and Wendel Hambrick and sister Juanita Johnson. Left to cherish his memory is wife of 30 years, Mary Hambrick; son Burrell Hambrick Jr. of Rockwall; son Robby Austin of Elmore City, OK; son Michael Austin of Dallas; daughter Terri A. Hambrick of Farmersville; daughter Robin Tomberlin of Rowlett; daughter Halie Austin of Dallas; daughter Beckie Rodman of Pennsylvania; mom Ann Hambrick of Irving; brother Bobby Johnson and spouse Pat; brother Royce Johnson and spouse Sandra; brother Gary Johnson and spouse Geanita; brother Phillip Hambrick and spouse Luace; brother Alton Jr. Hambrick; brother Brian Hambrick; sister Kim Hambrick; 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren along with numerous additional extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, August 25, 2017 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. An interment at Elm Grove Cemetery, 13653 County Rd. 480, Anna, TX will be at 3:30 pm, the same day. A visitation will be held between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the funeral home.
