Gary Pursley of Irving passed away February 20, 2018. He was born on May 20, 1932 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to Joe Melton Pursley and Rosell (Scott) Pursley. Gary served his country in the United States Navy. He later worked for Austin Commercial retiring in 1996. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson Christopher Glenn Pursley. He leaves behind to cherish his memory wife Sandra Pursley of Irving; sons Glenn Pursley and wife Nora of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Wayne Pursley and wife Julie of North Richland Hills, Texas; Travis Pursley and wife Janet of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren Priscilla Okoye and husband Geoffrey of Houston; Ashley Pursley of Arlington, Texas; Alex Pursley of Canada; Austin and Chad Pursley both of Arlington; Abby Pursley of North Richland Hills, Texas and many other family members that he counted as his own. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. The family invites you to join them following the service for a reception at Spring Creek BBQ in Irving located at Beltline and Highway 183. Memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Association at www.cff.org or The American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
