Obituary for Jesse E. Warren

Jesse E. Warren
Jesse Edgar Warren, age 71 went to be with our Lord and Savior, Saturday, April 28, 2018 after a long and extended illness. He was born to R.J. and Billie Faye (Johnson) Warren on March 27, 1947 in Corsicana, Texas. He is survived by his mother Billie Fay Warren; loving wife of 51 years Valerie Jean (Payne) Warren; daughter Shannon Warren Hayes and husband Bobby; daughter Stacy Lynn Warren; grandchildren Nicholas Hayes and Brianna Hayes; mother in law Evelyn V. Payne along with numerous extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father R.J. Warren, and sister Ronda Gail (Warren) Garner. Jesse was a loving husband, father and grandfather. For many years, and much to his wife’s dismay, he followed his passion for police work and volunteered with the Dallas and Tarrant County Sherriff Department as well as DFW area Police department. In 2005 Jesse retired from All State Insurance Company. He enjoyed watching old westerns, sci fi and B rated horror movies, spending time with his grandchildren, family and his beloved cats Boots and Tips (as well as Silver and Tiger who preceded him in death.) In his final years, the only thing that held Jesse down and back was diabetes which lead to kidney failure. He greatly appreciated the care from many physicians and the care given during the last year of his life. The family requests memorial donations be made to The American Kidney Foundation at http://www.kidneyfund.org/ or The American Diabetes Association at https://donations.diabetes.org/ . The family would like to give their appreciation for the many prayers, thoughts and support from friends and family. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service, between 1:00 and 2:00pm, on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00pm, please check back for updated location information. Interment at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens will be immediately following the funeral.
In honor of Jesse's passion for police work, and in remembrance and support of Officer Rogelio Santander family, additional donations may be made to https://atodallas.org/
