Delbert G.  Ballard
Delbert “Bud” Ballard, age 80, went to see his maker on Friday, May 18, 2018. He was born to Delbert B. and Marguerite Ballard on February 15, 1938 in Effingham, IL. He passed away after a 4-year battle with multiple myeloma cancer. He lived in Irving, TX for 54 years and was employed as a printer for Love Envelope and American Mailwell Envelope before retiring. Delbert honorably served our country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed spending his free time outdoors, he especially enjoyed grilling out hamburgers and steaks and eating BBQ while listening to country western music like Willie Nelson. Delbert is preceded in death by parents and two brothers Larry and Gary Ballard of Arkansas. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years Tracy; son Dwayne of Irving; daughter Lisa Johnson and husband Rex; granddaughters Cassie of Grand Prairie, TX, and Vanessa of Carrollton, TX; brother Dan Ballard and wife Janet of Herrick, IL; two nieces Charlotte Beck and husband Mike and family of IL, Debbie Horn and husband Curt and family of North Carolina; two nephews Ricky Ballard and Leslie Ballard; sisters in law Margaret Moeller and family and Evelyn Cardwell and husband Johnny and family both of Kaufman, TX.
