Obituary for Annie Bell Hambrick (Simmons)

Annie Bell Hambrick of Irving passed away July 15, 2018. She was born on July 6, 1928 to John Simmons and Mary Ethel (Good) Simmons. Annie enjoyed sewing crochet and playing dominos. She was a big family person and loved spending time with family always hosting family fish fry’s, cookouts and birthday parties. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden and working crossword puzzles. She will be remembered as a loving caretaker who always helped others. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years Alton Hambrick; son Wendall Hambrick; brothers Joe, Johnny and Lloyd Simmons and sister Laura Jo Sutter. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, children Alton Wilson Hambrick, Jr.; Phillip Hambrick and wife Luce; Brian Hambrick; Kimberly Barrientos and husband Henry Barrientos, Jr.; 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 20th at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Browns’ Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
