Lillie Bell Chambers, age 82, passed peacefully on Friday, October 12, 2018. She was born in Alba, Texas to R.P. and Valerie Thorn on Wednesday, February 26, 1936. Lillie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed helping others whenever she could and loved her family above all things. Lillie is preceded in death by both parents, husband William Harold Chambers, 7 sisters and 1 brother. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Phyllis Hammond and husband James; daughter Melanie Brumbaugh and husband Don Edward; grandchildren Stacie Brumbaugh and Rachael Eubanks; great grandchildren Zoe Pope, Nessa Whittington, Kristin Cantrell and Edward Cantrell; great great grandchildren Forrest Pope, Fallon Pope, Fischer Pope and Madison McCullough, along with additional extended family and numerous loving friends. The family will receive friends between 6:00 and 8:00pm, Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. MacArthur Blvd in Irving. A funeral service will be held, 10:00am, Friday, October 19, 2018 also at the funeral home, with an interment at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens immediately following.
