Obituary for Jack Lee Franklin

Jack Lee  Franklin
Jack Lee Franklin, age 91, died at home, surrounded by his loving family on April 17, 2015. He was born February 16, 1924 in Dallas, TX to Robert Franklin and Love Lee Allen. Jack was a brave member of the Army Airborne military, who fought to defend our country during WWII. Later in life he retired from General Motors, in Arlington after 30 years of service. Jack is preceded in death by his wife Agnes Ann Franklin, in 2009; left to carry on his loving memory is his son, Jack Franklin and wife Linda of Arlington; daughter Elaine Modrell of Arlington; son Robert Franklin and wife LeiLani of Schertz; brother George Franklin and wife Maxine of Sanger; 4 grandchildren Bryon Franklin, Joseph Franklin, Joshua Franklin and Elizabeth Hosselkus along with 9 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 pm Wednesday April 22, 2015. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Oakview Baptist Church in Irving. A burial with military honors will be conducted Thursday April 23, 2015 at 2:30 PM at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
