Robert E. Hagestad, age 84, died on Monday, February 25, 2019. Robert was born on March 18, 1934, in Fargo, North Dakota to Verdayne Hagestad and Geneva (Running) Hagestad. Robert honorably served in the United States Army as a member of the 101st Airborne division. He had the privilege to see the world from a unique perspective, while jumping out of planes in the Army. Robert had fine taste in cars, owning a Porsche Audi dealership for many years, he used to race Porsches, loved collecting and buying cars, and enjoyed attending any car event. He was a member of the Porsche Club of America and the Road Racing Driver’s Club. Along with being a big car enthusiast, he loved great music and was a big fan of Celine Dion. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and brother Bruce Hagestad. Left to cherish his memory are sister Barbara Schomebaum and husband Ron; children Robb Hagestad, Brad Hagestad and wife Sarah, Drew Hagestad; grandchildren Makenzie Pelletier and husband Chris, Gavin Hagestad; as well as many other extended family and loving friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75061.
