Henry Shelton Jackson, Jr., age 94 and longtime Irving resident, died on July 9, 2014. He was born to Henry Shelton Jackson and Marvin Ellett Jackson on May 3, 1920 in Altoga, Texas and went on to serve his country proudly during World War II in the United States Army. Henry was also member of the First Baptist Church in Irving. He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife and will be greatly missed by his son David Kip Jackson and his wife Barbara of Lewisville: daughter Donna Kay Jackson of Florida; granddaughters Kimberly Dye, Shannon Jackson and Erica Kothe along with three special nieces. A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Irving at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 14, 2014 with Reverend Jason Hatch officiating with interment following at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home in Irving on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.
