Obituary for F. E. "Shorty" Lambright

F. E. "Shorty"  Lambright
F. E. “Shorty” Lambright a long time resident of Irving passed away August 16, 2016. He was born on June 8, 1942 in New Braunfels, Texas to Francis and Christine (Hill) Lambright. He was a 1961 graduate of Carrollton High School. Shorty coached football and baseball at the YMCA from 1972 to 1978. He retired from Texas Instruments after 25 years of service. He was a volunteer with the Irving Police Reserves from 12/5/1977 to 3/22/1994 attaining the rank of Lieutenant following his time there he worked for Dal-Star Motorcycle Escort Service. Shorty became a member of Irving Lodge 1218 AF/AM in 1976 then Scottish Rite. He later became a member of Hella Shrine in 1977. In 2001 he transferred his membership to the J.V. Callan Masonic Dalite Lodge #1422 becoming Worshipful Master in 2005 to 2006. He is preceded in death by his parents and father in law W. L. Fender. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife of 52 years Sharon Kay Lambright of Irving; son Gene “Hoss” Lambright and wife Cheryl; daughter Leanna Lynn Gammill and husband Daniel; granddaughter Justy Lambright; grandsons Daniel Gammill II and Trevor Gammill; brother Randy Lambright; sisters Pat Seabolt; Donna Pena; Barbara Maxwell; Larna Greer; mother-in-law Leanna Fender; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends and church family. A Memorial service with Masonic Rites will be held at 11:00am Saturday August 27, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
