Obituary for Tally F. Parker Jr.

Tally F.   Parker Jr.
Tally F. Parker, Jr. died March 20, 2016. Lifetime resident of Irving and born on Main St. to parents Tally F. and Bertie Mae (Mathews) Parker. He graduated from Irving High School in 1947, served two years in 317 Heavy Tank Battalion during the Korean War. After military service he married RaNelle Nichols and started college; attending Arlington state, North Texas State and SMU Law School. Tally practiced law in Irving from 1963 until his retirement in 2009; the last 23 years with Parker & Marks, PC.; served on the ICVB board, Irving Healthcare System board, Las Colinas Medical Center board, Bank of the West board, Irving Veterans Memorial Park Commission, K.D. Studio board and was former member of Irving Rotary Club. Tally is survived by his wife of 61 years, RaNelle; brother James R. Parker; daughters Brenda Lynn Frey & Husband Al, and Suzanne Ross; son Robert Bret Parker & wife Becca. Poppy to seven grandchildren Janet & Katy Frey; Laura, Mathew & Joseph Ross, Robert & Abbey Parker and one step-grandson Nick Pierce; and dearly loved great grandson Hudson Ross. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home; the family will receive friends an hour prior to service. A private committal service with military honors will be held Monday at DFW National Cemetery.
