Ruby Thelma Stewart, age 83, died surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. She was born in Bruce, Mississippi to Winford D. and Helen Luzell (Walls) Patterson on February 8, 1934. At the age of 38, Ruby moved to Irving and has been a proud resident since. She worked as an accountant for North Texas Bomanite, until her retirement in 2012. Ruby was known for being a hard worker and the pride she took in her appearance. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and enjoyed playing Bingo and 8 Liners. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Stanley. Left to cherish her memory is son Mark Stewart Jr. and wife Paulette; grandson Casey Aaron Stewart and wife Christy; grandson Mitch Bo Dee Stewart and wife Grace; sister Mina Easley; brother Huey Patterson and wife Lois great grandchildren Jacob, Sydney, Kaydance, Abby and Piper; brother-in-law Dewey Stewart; sister-in-law Frances Stewart along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held 12:00 pm, Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, with interment at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas at 2:30. Visitation will be held between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the funeral home.
