Our Crematory of Choice

As the popularity of cremation continues to grow, we saw the opportunity to better serve our community by building a strong, lasting relationship with a local crematorium. Unlike other firms in the area, we can promise that your family is in good care from start to finish. This means that throughout the entire cremation process, we can ensure that your loved one is treated with the utmost dignity and respect.

The crematorium in Irving TX that we chose, is operated by a team of certified crematory operators. This means that your family can have peace of mind knowing your loved one is being cared for by staff that has been properly trained. The crematory operators follow a strict cremation process. Your loved one’s remains will be identified, cared for and returned prior to a cremation for another individual being started.

If you have any questions about the local crematorium that we work with exclusively, we would be happy to answer.

Our Affordable Cremation Options

Cremation has rapidly grown in popularity over the last decade. Therefore, to keep up with this demand we have perfected our cremation process and have made our cremation services a staple part of our funeral home. Our affordable cremation services mainly differ in terms of the type of ceremony you would like with the actual cremation.

We offer three cremation options; each can be modified to meet your needs:

1. Traditional Cremation Services

These are much like a traditional funeral. The body of the deceased, placed in a specially selected cremation casket or a rental casket, is the focal point of the service. A visitation can take place prior to the funeral service and the cycle is completed with the cremation rather than a traditional burial. Once the simple cremation has occurred, the cremated remains are returned to your family. You can then decide to scatter, bury, or retain the cremated remains in an urn.

2. Memorial Gathering after Cremation

This can occur at any time after the cremation process. The urn is usually on display at the service, which can take place in any setting preferred by the family.

3. Direct Cremation

This involves completion of all required paperwork and the transportation of the deceased from the hospital, home, nursing facility, or coroner's office to the crematory.

A Flags Last Honor

  • Honor a veteran when cremation is chosen
  • Allow a proud, worn, tired flag to serve on last honor
  • Retire a flag properly as it should be done
If you have a flag that has performed its duty well but has come to the end of its time for being displayed, we will honored to take it off your hands. All flags must be disposed of properly and we believe it can serve one last duty.

We will patriotically drape the flag over a veteran when cremated in a way to pay our tribute and thanks to both Veteran and Old Glory. Our staff is honored to perform this duty, without charge to the flag donor or the veteran's family.

Flag Drop off is at out office during business hours - Monday through Friday.

Alternative Cremation Options

The latest innovation in cremation is a process of alkaline hydrolysis, sometimes called resomation. The process was developed in the United States in the late 1990s. The Cremation Association of North America describes the process as "a water-based dissolution process for human remains that uses alkaline chemicals, heat, and sometimes agitation and-or pressure, to accelerate natural decomposition".

Compared with traditional cremation, this process uses less energy and releases no carbon and no matter into the atmosphere. Not all regions have made the legislative changes required for funeral homes to offer this service to families and the equipment costs are more than a conventional retort. Both factors currently reduce the availability of resomation cremation services.

The Cremation Process

Traditional cremation is the process of reducing a body at very high temperatures until it is nothing but brittle, calcified bones. These are then processed into what we commonly call ashes. Returned to the family in a temporary urn (or a more personal urn selected by the family), these ashes can be kept, buried, or scattered. Some families even choose to place a loved one's cremated remains in a hand-crafted piece of cremation art.

Author Michelle Kim, in How Cremation Works, details the cremation process: "In modern crematories, the body is stored in a cool, temperature-controlled room until it's approved for cremation. The body is prepared by removing pacemakers, prostheses and silicone implants. The body is then put into a container or casket made out of flammable materials such as plywood, pine or cardboard."

The container is placed in the retort or cremating chamber. It takes anywhere from two to three hours to reduce an average adult to ash. When the cremated remains are cooled, they are processed to a uniformly-sized pebble-like substance and placed in an urn. The funeral director then returns the cremated remains to the family.
